Authorize.Net Launches Upgraded Development Center

Authorize.Net's new development center should be a resource for freelance and agency web developers to increase revenue opportunities. It speeds integration with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway, and eases troubleshooting and encourages community-driven solutions.

"The developer community is one of our fastest-growing audiences," said John Bodine, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Authorize.Net, in the company's official statement about the new development center.

"We deeply appreciate the contribution our developers have made to Authorize.Net," Bodine said, adding, "and we're committed to giving them all the tools and information they need to help them go to market and maximize their revenue potential. We hope the new site will become a hub of activity for our developers and that they will visit often as the content evolves and the community grows."

Key to the new development center is the community forum, which is "designed to provide a peer-to-peer support and interaction channel for developers participating in the Authorize.Net affiliate program, certification programs or using an Authorize.net Application Programming Interface to integrate their products and solutions to the Authorize.net Payment Gateway," the company said, adding that "the boards are open to anyone and simply require a brief registration."

Many web developers have significantly boosted their income with the Authorize.Net reseller program, which pays developers commissions of up to 40 percent when they encourage clients to use the Autorize.Net. Developers also benefit from consistently using a single payment solutions provider, meaning that as they become familiar with the API and associated tools, plumbing a client's site to safely accept payments becomes almost second nature.
