Generating site traffic is a major concern for ecommerce marketers, and one of the many methods they use to attract site visitors is to offer content other than just products.
This additional content might be blog articles, how-to videos, or interactive tools and games. In this tutorial, I am going to describe how to make an Adobe Flash-based art board that site visitors can play with. This sort of application is perfect for toy or child-oriented sites, and it can serve as an example for similar ActionScript projects.
Specifically, in this episode, we'll explore the Graphic class in ActionScript 3 and create the aforementioned art board that you can draw on using your mouse. In a toolbar at the top we'll also create a slider that will control our brush size along with color picker that will change our brush color.
