Demandware is one of the industry's premium ecommerce platforms.
The service gives large merchants control over site branding and merchandising while removing most of the technical worries associated with operating a large-scale site.
I have been very impressed lately by what I've seen on several Demandware-powered ecommerce sites, and I wanted to share those sites with you.
Crocs Inc.
Check out the JavaScript-driven product images and color selector on the Classic Crocs product detail page. Also take note of the various filtering options on the lower left of that same page.
Playmobil
The Playmobil site makes extensive use of images for navigation, which makes sense given how many languages the site has been translated into. The company sells toys and games.
Mikasa
Hover over a product to see the impressive "Quick Look" feature on Mikasa's various product category pages. It is not the first implementation of a quick view that I've seen, but I still like it.
Lucy
Lucy, a retailer of female clothing and accessories, makes great use of Adobe Flash on some of its product category pages. For example, on the "Tops" page, models turn 360 degrees to show off Lucy's active wear.
Hamleys
Hamleys is a toy store that has a video game-like product pan and zoom feature, which, in my opinion, makes sense with their brand.
Columbia Sportswear Company
The Columbia Sportswear website features a nice "Quick Shop" features that lets shoppers get additional details and options without leaving a product category page.
Easy Spirit
Easy Spirit's site lets visitors see shoes in all available colors from the category page. The site also has a nice shop-by size-and-width feature.
Bare Escentuals
The Bare Escentuals sells cosmetics and skin care items. Its site uses content sliders on some category pages to keep products above the fold.
Zabar's
Zabar's is a retailer of premium food products. The Zabar's site makes great use of food-related images in a variety of sizes.

I would appreciate readers' perspectives on sites from ATG and IBM websphere and also how developing sites on those platforms compares to developing with Demandware. (Technical and Business Differences would be great)
