Google Maps is one of the best things to hit the web since video tutorials. If you're developing for a multi-channel merchant that has both an online store and brick-and-mortar-shops, you'll almost certainly want to integrate location information into the website's "about us" section.
In this tutorial, I'll set up a basic Google Map, similar to something you'd see on a "contact" or "about us" page, using the Flash SDK. I'll begin by initializing a map and setting the longitude and latitude to an area near Grand Canyon, in Arizona, U.S. Then we'll place a marker in the center of the map, give it a drop shadow and make it dragable so the user can move it around. Finally, we'll set up zoom controls.
All told, this video tutorial will give you a solid introduction to using the Google Maps API in your ecommerce-related Flash projects.
