In Part 2 of this tutorial series, I will be showing you how to create the interior elements for an excellent iPhone illustration.

Be sure to check out Part 1, if you have not seen it. Download Source Files

To begin this second tutorial, I will show you how to quickly create the iPhone illustration's speaker using two rounded rectangles and gray-scale gradients. I will then move on to show you how to create the menu button found at the bottom of the iPhone using the Elipse tool, Rounded Rectangle tool and the Pathfinder tool.

Next, I will show you how to create a rounded rectangle to act as an outline for the LCD screen before using the Offset Path feature to create the screen itself.

With the speaker, menu button and LCD screen created, I will quickly show you how to create the icons found at the top of the iPhone screen. These icons will be placed on top of a semi-transparent black bar and will stay above all other elements later placed on the screen.

In the third and final part of this tutorial series, I will finish the iPhone design by creating the iPhone “Lock Screen.”
