Audio Interview: Engine Yard's Abheek Anand on Cloud Computing
Abheek Anand is the product manager responsible for the Engine Yard Cloud, which is a premier, on-demand deployment and management solution for Ruby on Rails applications.
Prior to Engine Yard, Abheek worked as an early-stage technology investor at Lightspeed Venture Partners, focusing on enterprise and cloud technology startups. He also served as a lead engineer at VMware, where he worked on building large-scale distributed systems for the award-winning Virtual Infrastructure and vSphere products. And finally, Abheek has both a B.S. and an M.S. in Computer Science, and most recently an M.B.A. from Stanford's Graduate School of Business.
In this audio interview, I ask Abheek about the advantages of cloud computing, and to specifically address the challenge of supporting multiple domains, and to address Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and cloud security.
