Hi,
I've got Magento 1.4.0.1 installed, and I've noticed that the WYSIWYG doesn't work (it is set to Enabled by default in the config).
Also, I can't edit categories. I can create categories, but when I try to edit a previously made category, I can't do anything.
Can anyone help me with this please? I'd like to avoid reinstalling Magento because it takes too damn long to upload all the files on the server. Do I need to downgrade to 1.3? Please tell me there's another solution.
Thanks for your help! jm

@JMBUYTAERT Are you getting any error messages after the installation?
Regarding editing categories, I am not sure I follow. Is the save configuration not working?

Hi Armando,
No I didn't get any error messages after the installation.
As for the categories, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the save configuration". I can create and save as many categories as I want to, but I can't edit or delete them. When I go to "Catalog > Manage Categories", I see the categories that I created on the left side. I can move them around to put them in a desired order, but when I click on them, nothing happens. I can't get "inside" my categories to edit them.
I'm not sure if that's a factor or not, but I only have products in one category, so I doubt the products are causing the categories to not work.

If this helps, I've tried it on FF, Safari, Opera, and IE.
In IE, I noticed that when I click on one of the categories, I get this error:
Line: 615 Char: 9 Code: 0 URI: http://www.mysite.com/magento/index.php/admin/catalog_category/index/key/myKey/
Do I need to go in the admin files and change a few lines of code?

So is the right side of the page blank? A.
jmbuytaert says:
No, I still see the text fields, but they're all blank.
Armando Roggio says:
While I am not seeing what you are seeing, I can tell you that those fields are generally where you edit categories. For example, the blank field for description, supplies the category description.

Ok. Well I'm currently re-installing just the core js files (recommended by someone on the Magento forum) and I'll let you know if that works.
Thanks for taking time to help me.
