Passing the PCI Buck: Processor Capabilities Minimize Compliance Costs

DATE: February 25, 2010
LENGTH: 1 Hour

This is an archived webinar that was held live on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

July 2010 is the deadline for Level 4 merchants and Visa processors to be certified PCI compliant. And regardless of level, merchants are required to meet the most recent PCI DSS standards, if they want to continue to accept credit card payments.

To help you and your clients get ready, this webinar will describe how to “Pass the PCI Buck” with "tokenization” and similar techniques that get cardholder data out of the hands of ecommerce merchants and limit what they need to do to be PCI compliant. In fact, these techniques will also reduce merchants' PCI compliance costs and exposure, and ensure they get where they need to be on time and on budget.

The webinar is moderated by Ecommerce Developer's site director, Armando Roggio. The presenter is Juan Perez with PaymentVision, a PCI Level 1 electronic bill payment service provider. Roggio and Perez explain how to better protect cardholder data, and keep ahead of the bad guys looking for their next opportunity to make off with hundreds, thousands or millions of financial-account numbers.
